What the Threadeazy MCP server does
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI assistant call a piece of software directly, instead of you copying and pasting between two tabs. The Threadeazy MCP server is our implementation of it: 11 tools that give Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-capable agent live read and write access to your Threadeazy account.
In practice, that means you can talk to Claude about your Threads strategy and have it actually schedule the posts, check which ones are performing, and fill gaps in your queue, all inside the same conversation. Nothing here is a simulation or a summary of your data. Every tool call reads from or writes to your real Threadeazy account in real time.
It runs as its own hosted service at mcp.threadeazy.com, separate from the main app, so a slow AI agent session never competes with your dashboard for resources.
The 11 tools available
Every tool accepts an optional account parameter, so you can run all of this across multiple connected Threads accounts from one conversation.

All 11 read from and write to the same Threadeazy backend the app uses. Anything scheduled through Claude shows up in your dashboard immediately, and anything scheduled through the dashboard is visible to Claude the next time you ask.
Two ways to connect
Pick the one that matches where you want to work. Most people use the first.
Claude.ai, ChatGPT, or any OAuth-capable MCP client
This is the fast path and needs no API key. Add https://mcp.threadeazy.com/mcp as a custom connector or MCP server in your AI tool's settings. Your AI tool will redirect you to a Threadeazy-hosted consent screen, you log in and approve, and the connection is live. No copying keys, no config files.
Claude Desktop, via local stdio
If you run Claude Desktop and prefer a local connection, generate an API key from Threadeazy under Settings → API Key, then add Threadeazy's MCP entry to your claude_desktop_config.json with that key as an environment variable. Restart Claude Desktop and the tools appear. This method is documented in full in the threads-mcp repository README.
What you can actually ask it to do
A few real examples, phrased the way people actually type them.
"Schedule these five posts for next week"
Paste a batch of drafts and a rough cadence. Claude calls schedule_post or bulk_add_to_queue and slots them in.
"Which of my posts did best last month?"
Claude calls get_published_posts sorted by views, and can reason about what those top posts have in common.
"What's still open in my queue this week?"
get_queue_slots returns your booked and free slots, so you know exactly what needs filling before you sit down to write.
"Pull fresh numbers, my views look off"
refresh_analytics forces a resync with Meta's API instead of waiting for the next scheduled refresh.
"Add a Tuesday 9am slot to my main account"
create_queue_slot sets up a new recurring weekly time without you touching the Settings page.
"Cancel the post I scheduled for Friday"
delete_post pulls it out of the queue before it goes live, as long as it hasn't published yet.
Is it safe to connect
Yes, with the usual caveats that apply to any tool you give account access to.
The OAuth flow never shares your Threadeazy password with Claude, ChatGPT, or any other client. You approve the connection on a Threadeazy-hosted screen, the same way you'd approve any third-party app, and you can revoke that access from your Threadeazy account at any time. The stdio method uses a single API key that you generate and can regenerate or revoke instantly from Settings if it's ever exposed.
Every action the MCP server takes is scoped to the 11 tools above. There is no tool that changes your password, billing, or account email, and nothing here posts to Threads on your behalf without you asking it to in that conversation.

What is the Threadeazy MCP server?
It's a hosted implementation of the Model Context Protocol that gives AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT direct, live access to your Threadeazy account through 11 tools. Instead of copying data between your AI chat and the Threadeazy dashboard, the agent can schedule posts, pull analytics, and manage your queue directly inside the conversation.
Is the Threadeazy MCP server free to use?
Yes. Connecting an MCP client to your Threadeazy account costs nothing extra on any plan, including Free. The MCP server reads and writes through your existing account, so the usual plan limits on scheduled posts and connected accounts still apply, but there is no separate fee for the MCP connection itself.
Does the Threadeazy MCP server work with ChatGPT?
Yes, and with any AI client that supports the Model Context Protocol's OAuth connection flow, not just Claude. Add https://mcp.threadeazy.com/mcp as a custom connector, approve the consent screen, and the same 11 tools become available there.
Do I need an API key to connect?
Only if you're using Claude Desktop's local stdio connection. Claude.ai, ChatGPT, and other OAuth-capable clients connect without one: you add the server URL and approve access on a Threadeazy-hosted consent screen, the same way you'd approve any third-party app login.
Can I revoke MCP access later?
Yes. If you connected via OAuth, revoke it the same way you'd revoke any connected app. If you used an API key for Claude Desktop, go to Settings and regenerate or delete the key, which immediately breaks any client still using the old one.
Will actions taken through Claude show up in my Threadeazy dashboard?
Immediately. The MCP server calls the same backend the web app uses, so a post scheduled through Claude appears in your dashboard right away, and a post scheduled through the dashboard is visible to Claude the next time you ask about your queue.
What can't the Threadeazy MCP server do?
It's limited to the 11 tools listed on this page: reading accounts, posts, analytics, and inspirations, plus scheduling, queueing, and deleting posts. It cannot change your password, billing, or plan, generate AI content on its own, or post anything without you asking for it in that conversation.
Can I run the MCP server alongside the regular Threadeazy app?
Yes, they share the same data, so there's no conflict. A common pattern is planning and batch-scheduling through Claude, then checking performance and fine-tuning your queue in the dashboard, since both read and write to the same account in real time.
